Wright senior Jenna Booth makes a difficult task look as easy as Pi. On “Pi
day,” otherwise known as March 14th, Jenna named 1000 digits of Pi in C. Milton
Wright High’s 5th annual school competition; a competition she has won for the
last four years. Jenna beat her competitor by an astonishing 723 digits,
breaking her school record from last year of 800.
Since her
freshman year, Jenna has memorized the numbers from year to year adding more
digits every time. She remembers the numbers by listing them in rows of ten and
memorizing those numbers as a group. It took Jenna around five to eight minutes
to recite the numbers in perfect order without losing her
