It's Time for an Olde-Fashioned Fourth of July in Bel Air!

Bel Air -- The Bel Air Independence Day Committee invites all to join in a tradition-filled, "Olde-Fashioned Fourth of July" in downtown Bel Air this Saturday!   

The day starts off with a ceremonial flag-raising at Bel Air High School at 6:45 a.m., featuring Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 30 and American Legion Post #39, and a musical accompaniment. In fact, each of the day's events will begin with a flag-raising ceremony at their respective sites. Read more...

Harford County Public Library Announces 2015 Summer Reading Program

Harford Community College is hosting a Sizzling Summer Movie Series in June and July at 1 PM in the College’s Chesapeake Theater. 2015 Pirate Fest Weekend at Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House

Ahoy, ye swashbucklers and mates – come and get lost at “Pirate Fest”, being held at the Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House the weekend of June 12th – 14th!

Bel Air July 4th Parade Almost Full -- Still a Few Openings as Deadline Approaches

The Bel Air Independence Day Committee announces that there are still a few openings available for participation in the Saturday, July 4 Independence Day Parade through the Town of Bel Air.   

The committee urges interested bands, scout troops, churches, civic groups, clubs, individuals and businesses to get their applications in by the Monday, June 15, 2015, deadline. Read more...

NY Times Bestselling Author & His Furry Best Friend Service Dog, Tuesday, to Visit Library

(Bel Air, Maryland)  Harford County Public Library is honored to welcome former U.S. Army Captain Luis Carlos Montalván and his service dog, Tuesday, to share their story at the Library’s Bel Air Branch at 6:30 p.m. April 21.

Capt. Montalván never backed down from a challenge during his two tours of duty in Iraq. Like many service members, Capt. Montalván honorably departed the military as a result of physical and psychological wounds. The war continued for him until a highly trained golden retriever named Tuesday entered his life.
