Freedom
Riders, a documentary
about courageous Civil Rights activists who in 1961 challenged segregation in
the South, will be shown at Harford Community College, Student Center, Room 243,
on Thursday, October 13, at 2 and 6:30 PM.
Following the
documentary, there will be a discussion with Italy Overton, Nathalie James,
Janice and Woody Grant, Harford County residents who were active in the Civil
Rights Movement. In addition, former
Morgan State University History Professor and Activist Dr. JoAnn Robinson will
discuss the 1960’s movement.
