The Harford County Public Library (HCPL) Winter Reading Program saw a 23% increase in registration versus last year during the first week of the program with over 2800 adults and high school teens signing up. The program, themed Winter Without Books? Nevermore!, began on January 4th and participants who signed up received a commemorative pen, black with white graphics depicting a raven in celebration of Edgar Allen Poe and his infamous quote.
