Harford Community College announces the launching of STEM Scholars STEP Up!, a summer academic preparation program, during August 2009.
From August 10-28, HCC will welcome and sponsor up to 20 incoming college students to immerse themselves in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)-focused academic environment. Hosted on the HCC campus, the three-week, full-time program will offer students the opportunity to boost a variety of skills needed to succeed as future STEM majors, including mathematics, science, writing, research, and critical thinking, as well as general study, test-taking, and time management skills.
