Students at Jarrettsville Elementary could be heard singing the Harford Glen song for miles on Monday, June 8th as they were presented with the Harford Glen Environmental Education Center’s prestigious Stewardship Award known as the “Golden Can.” Throughout the entire school year, students from all over Harford County Public Schools, participating in the fifth grade residential outdoor education program at Harford Glen weigh their food waste and compostable food items as well as keep track of all recyclables, reusable table settings and energy use.
