Harford County Public School Superintendent Search Underway

The Board of Education of Harford County has begun its search for a new Superintendent of Schools, due to the sudden death of Dr. Jacqueline C. Haas, who had been superintendent for more than 10 years. Patricia L. Skebeck was named Interim Superintendent to serve until July 1, 2009. Mrs. Skebeck plans to retire at the end of her term as Interim Superintendent.

Working in conjunction with the Maryland Association of Boards of Education (MABE), the Board has established the timeline and action steps leading to the appointment of a new Superintendent.
