Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys will appear at Looney’s Pub North, 312 S. Main Street in Bel Air on Sunday, August 10 at 4:00 p.m. in a benefit performance for The John Carroll School.
The Grammy award winning patriarch of traditional and bluegrass music has been performing since 1946 and recently saw a surge in popularity due to his contributions to the 2002 movie O Brother Where Art Thou. Stanley has recorded over 170 albums and at 81 years of age still performs more than 150 dates a year. In 2006, he was presented the National Medal of Arts Honor by President George Bush.
