25th Anniversary of National Night Out on August 5

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office and local Neighborhood Watch Groups in the community are participating in the 25th Anniversary of National Night Out. A unique/crime and drug prevention activity sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and Target Stores is scheduled to occur in Harford County and across the country on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. The program was designed to heighten crime and drug awareness prevention; generate support for and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
