30-foot x 40-foot, hand-sewn replica of the flag that flew at Fort McHenry when
Francis Scott Key wrote “The Star-Spangled Banner” will be on display at the
Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union Arena at Harford Community College
on Tuesday, October 7, 9 AM to 4 PM, and Wednesday, October 8, 9 AM to
noon. It will also be on display during
the Fighting Owls volleyball match on October 7 at 6 PM. The flag is being taken
to each county of Maryland as part of the “Stitching History” series being
conducted by the Maryland Historical Society in partnership with Fort McHenry
and others. This event is open to the
