[Bel Air, MD] A review of
the Harford County Sheriff’s Office crime data from the first six months of 2014
shows a total 12% decrease of Part 1 Crimes as compared to the same time period
in 2013.
Of the eight categories which comprise Part 1 Crimes
(Murder/Manslaughter, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary,
Larceny/Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Arson), seven categories showed
decreases. Most notable are the 26%
decrease in burglaries, 26% decrease in robberies and a 52% reduction in
