Bel Air, MD – Sheriff L. Jesse Bane announced at the Harford County Council Meeting
that he had appointed Charles Moore to lead the Harford County Detention Center
as its new warden beginning August 1, 2014.
The Sheriff shared his challenge in selecting the
appropriate candidate, talking about the changing population of citizens at the
Harford County Detention Center. “You have heard me say on many occasions that
the jail is no longer just a jail. It is a shelter for the homeless, a mental
institution, a drug treatment center, and a hospital for the treatment of a
variety of physical illnesses and disabilities.” Read more...
