Sheriff Names Edward Hopkins as New Chief Deputy

Bel Air, MD – Sheriff L. Jesse Bane announced that Edward Hopkins has been appointed to serve the Harford County Sheriff’s Office as Chief Deputy beginning July 1, 2014.

In his address, the Sheriff introduced Mr. Hopkins to the council with, “He is a man of vision who is well liked, well-educated and quite knowledgeable of the duties and responsibilities of a deputy sheriff with our Sheriff’s Office. He has a strong moral compass, a strong work ethic, and impeccable work credentials in the public safety arena.
