March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month: Health Department Promotes Life-Saving Screening

Between 2006 and 2010, Maryland’s rate of colorectal cancer deaths declined at a
rate of 4.6% per year, according to Maryland Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene 2013 Cancer Data published in December 2013. Also, ranking tenth in the
entire nation in 2012, Maryland has one of the highest screening rates for
colorectal cancer, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Read more...
