Barbara P. Canavan Named Superintendent of Harford County Public Schools

The Board of Education of Harford County (Board) appointed Barbara P. Canavan to a four-year term as Superintendent of Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) on February 24, 2014, during its regularly scheduled business meeting. Mrs. Canavan has been serving as Interim Superintendent of Schools since July 1, 2013, when former Superintendent Robert Tomback’s contract expired.
