Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) gained national
attention when its thirty-four elementary schools achieved the bronze level of
distinction in the HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC). To acknowledge their
achievement, each school will receive a HUSSC award plaque, a banner for display
and a monetary award. Harford County is one of only five school systems in the
state with HealthierUS schools. The Board of Education of Harford County
recognized the HCPS Food and Nutrition Office at its recent Board
