During
Autism Awareness Month, the Mathematics Department at Aberdeen High School
brought students and staff together in a service learning project to raise money
for Pathfinders for Autism. The goal of the project was to raise awareness of
autism and money to help those affected by autism through a Penny Wars
competition. Aberdeen High students donated more than six tons of pennies for a
grand total of $4,100. Of that total, Mr. Josh Rupert’s students raised an
