Plumtree Park Stream Finally Sees the Light of Day

For decades, the natural stream in Plumtree Park never saw sunshine. Years ago, well-meaning engineers diverted the stream into a subterranean pipe.
 
These days, environmental specialists know that even these tiny streams need air, rainwater, soil and native plants to keep a complex ecosystem in balance. The solution is to "daylight" these previously hidden tributaries and return them to their natural state.
