Bel Air High
School (BAHS) recently received the designation of a Model Green School from the
Maryland Association of Environmental Outdoor Education, meaning that Bel Air
“has been recognized three times in the last decade as a green school,” stated
Mr. Glen Hedelson, BAHS environment sciences teacher. In order to receive this
designation, BAHS had to make efforts of energy conservation, recycling,
landscaping and habitat enhancement. Also, BAHS has been named multiple times a
Green School, which impacted their
