Jarrettsville, MD - Former NASA astronaut Dr. Don Thomas visited North Bend Elementary School to share his experiences as a participant in four different Shuttle Missions orbiting the Earth during the 1990s. Dr. Thomas, now director of the Hackerman Academy of Mathematics and Science at Towson University, spent the morning of September 29th addressing two separate groups of North Bend Elementary School kindergarten through fifth graders in the school’s multi-purpose room.
