After a months-long national search, Harford County’s Upper Chesapeake Chorus (UCC) recently hired a new director from its own backyard. Rick Taylor has been a member of the men’s Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) since 1968. Over the years, he has won numerous district and international competition medals in both chorus and quartet singing. He is also currently director of Chorus of the Chesapeake, an internationally competitive men’s chorus. Most recently his quartet, Old School, in which he sings tenor, took fifth place at the BHS international competition in July of this year. Read more...
