Meadowvale Elementary to open Dr. Ben Carson Reading Room

Meadowvale Elementary School in Havre de Grace will become the fifth Harford County Public school to have a special room reserved for students to read for pleasure, thanks to a famed Baltimore surgeon and a local philanthropic couple.

On June 27th, Meadowvale representatives received a $15,000 check from Louis and Phyllis Friedman, owners and proprietors of the Stack and Store facility in Havre de Grace and three other locations around the county, and officials from the Dr. Ben Carson Scholarship Fund.
