Develop Leadership Skills and Influence Decisions Impacting Youth with Disabilities
Are you or someone you know a high school student with a disability? The Harford County Commission on Disabilities is seeking a high school student with a disability interested in serving as the Commission’s student representative for the 2008/2009 school year. Serving on the Commission provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills and to offer input on issues important to youth with disabilities. Additionally, the student representative will learn about the disability rights movement and help coordinate and attend special events. This is a wonderful opportunity not only to impact others and raise awareness, but to enhance the individual’s own personal and professional growth. Read more...
