Host Families Needed for Cal Ripken World Series

Ever dreamed of taking part in the Cal Ripken World Series? Here’s your chance! This summer, teams of 11-12 year olds from all over the world will converge at Cal Sr.’s Yard in Harford County, MD, to battle it out for the bragging rights of being the 2008 Cal Ripken World Series Champions.

These sluggers include the Maryland State Champions, a Harford County representative, teams from eight regions across the U.S., and six international teams from Canada, Australia, Mexico, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, and new this year, Japan. Teams are tentatively scheduled to arrive August 6th and 7th, with Opening Ceremonies on the 8th. Games will run August 9th through the 17th. Read more...
