The Town of Bel Air, in collaboration with the Economic and Community Development Commission (ECDC) and the Bel Air Cultural Arts Commission, formally announced the winner of the “Bel Air’s Heritage Sculpture Contest” at a Reception held at Bel Air Town Hall.
The winner of the contest was James K. Hill, whose sculpture entitled “The Door” was chosen by Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners and a panel of six judges from various arts organizations in the State. Mr. Hill is the Chairman of the Art Department at Salisbury University. The award for the winning sculpture was $25,000. It will be placed in an outdoor location; currently the proposed site is at the corner of Route 1 and Kenmore Avenue. Read more...
