The Hays-Heighe
House at Harford Community College will celebrate the anniversary of the War of
1812 with The War of 1812: Bicentennial
Observance Exhibit that will open on February 1 from 3-6:30 PM. Special events are planned throughout the
day.
The opening will
include period music and stories performed by costumed interpreters Will and
Andrea Priest, who have also volunteered at Fort McHenry. At 4:30 PM, local historian and adjunct
professor Mike Dixon will discuss lesser-known stories about people of the Upper
Bay during the war. Refreshments will be
